History: The latest release from the Symington family is the result of an exciting collaboration with Rewilding Portugal, a not-for-profit that is pioneering an ambitious conservation strategy on a 120,000-hectare wildlife corridor in northern Portugal. Every sale of the Altano Rewilding Edition will contribute financial support to Rewilding Portugal's efforts to protect and restore these endangered natural landscapes.

Regional information: Made from grapes grown in Symington family vineyards in the remote, easternmost reaches of the Douro Valley. Grapes are partially sourced from some higher altitude vineyards to produce wines with a fresh, elegant and fruit-driven profile.

Vinification: The wine is fermented in stainless steel vats at low temperatures aiming to extract colour and aromas and limit tannin extraction in order to produce a wine that favours fresh, ripe fruit flavours. The fruit flavours are subtly complimented by wood from brief aging in oak barrels.
